Information For Authors

The invites researchers, clinicians, and policymakers to submit original work that contributes to the "Ethiopian or LMICs Perspective" on global health.

1. Pre-Submission Checklist

Before submitting, authors must ensure their manuscript complies with the following:

  • Scope Alignment: The work falls within our defined Aims and Scope (Public Health, Biomedical, or Clinical Sciences).
  • Ethical Compliance: Research involving human subjects must include an IRB approval number and a statement of informed consent.
  • Originality: Manuscripts are screened via a similarity detection system. A Similarity Index exceeding 15% may result in immediate rejection.
  • Formatting: The text follows Vancouver Style citations and is prepared in Times New Roman (12 pt) with 1.5-line spacing.

2. Submission Process

EJHBS utilizes a professional online management system to ensure transparency and efficiency.

  • Registration: New authors must [Register] to create an account. We strongly encourage authors to link their ORCID iD to their profile to ensure proper citation attribution.
  • Double-Blind Requirements: To ensure a fair review, authors must upload two separate files:
  • Title Page: Including author names, affiliations, and acknowledgments.
  • Anonymized Manuscript: The main text without any identifying author information.
  • Tracking: Once submitted, authors can log in at any time to track the real-time progress of their manuscript through the "Triage," "Peer Review," and "Editorial Decision" stages.

3. Institutional Neutrality (The "Firewall")

In accordance with our commitment to editorial independence, manuscripts submitted by authors from the University of Gondar are subject to our "Firewall" protocol. These submissions are managed by external editors and reviewed by independent experts outside the host institution to ensure an objective evaluation.
